Transparent orange trapezohedral spessartine crystals to 3 mm across, scattered across a tan orthoclase crystal matrix. Also present are numerous transparent light brown prismatic smoky quartz crystals to 33 mm tall, with orange spessartines growing up along the bases of these crystals. There is a second generation of drusy translucent light orange spessartines growing atop some of the earlier generation spessartines. Micro green muscovites are also visible under 20x magnification. Other than minor contacting along the periphery where the specimen was removed from the mine, no damage.
