Dense, intricate cluster of native copper crystals, with the largest, well-formed crystals running about 5 mm across. Many spinel twins; several crystals also exhibit the rare dodecahedral habit. Collected by Bob Barron in August, 2008 from an underwater crevice below the surface of Lake Superior. Lovely maroon to olive-green patina. More details about this find can be found in Rocks & Minerals, Volume 84, Number 1 (January/February, 2009), pages 32-40.
